Overview:
Are you faced with rebuilding and transforming your company’s human resources in the newly burgeoning economy, but still using yesteryear’s solutions? Wanting to keep in close touch with former employees for re-recruitment and/or business development purposes, but lack an effective method of engagement? If so, we know what you’re up against! The fact is, in a business world increasingly driven by social dynamics, it’s clear that you’ll need far more than job boards and Rolodexes to get the job done.
With top talent—and talent connections—becoming increasingly strategic, much more is at stake. Talent—and access to it, wherever it may be—is now a fundamental enabler in positioning companies for greater competitive advantage in marketplaces driven by accelerating innovation and changing business dynamics.
Attend Talent on the Move 2011 and learn how new and emerging technologies spanning private, branded, talent communities to mobile outreach are yielding outstanding results from hiring hard-to-fill staff and executive positions to making critical business development connections. With the vast majority of external candidates arriving at the point of application from outside your corporate career site, the ability to more effectively leverage the social networks to connect with talent has become paramount. And with an increasingly mobile workforce, retaining access to the intellectual capital they take with them, leveraging their brand advocacy, and having them open new doors has never been more crucial.

Keynote Speaker: Michael Marlatt—Welcome to the Era of Mobile, Social, and the Cloud
Description: Cast a glance at any restaurant, coffee shop, or airport and it is easy to see the influence mobile connectivity plays within our society. Our world has changed and it’s not turning back. Mobile, social, and “the cloud” have dramatically altered our ways of engagement and connectivity. With over 5.2 billion mobile phone subscriptions worldwide, mobile has clearly become the preferred and often primary means of communication where content is delivered, downloaded and consumed. Mobile and the cloud have helped to augment reality like never before. Our cultural, social and business necessities have fueled our need to be hyper-connected and the mobile device is at the epicenter of this amazing transformation.
Times have clearly changed and so should our recruitment strategies. With U.S. wireless subscriber penetration is now over 96%, employers have a unique opportunity to leverage this vastly untapped recruitment channel. Today’s professionals expect access to information on-demand, anytime, anywhere, and across any device. We have become a society obsessed with staying connected, both while we work and while we play. Society’s addictiveness to mobile technology, pervasiveness and sheer dominance gives it a pivotal position as a next generation talent attraction and engagement channel.
So what’s next? Forward-thinking corporations are finally beginning to recognize that they must innovate and engage the new workforce in the way they want to be reached. Join Michael Marlatt as he explores how mobile, social, and the cloud are influencing the future of digital recruitment.

Panel Discussion: Talent's New Social Paradigm: Meet Me Where I’m at!
Description: Our theme, Talent on the Move, has a three-fold meaning: 1) talent is, quite literally, mobile. And reaching people via mobile technology—where they are—is becoming increasingly important, 2) figuratively, in that the talent market as a whole is in transition, being reinvented on a daily basis, and 3) practically—employees stay an average of two years on the job now, which demands new thinking about retention, as well as maintaining ties even after an employee has left your organization.
Panelists: Join Accenture’s Katya Meza-Doyle, SHRM’s Laura Spies, and Conenza’s Jennie Ellis for a lively interactive discussion on these themes, and what they’re doing to address them in their own organizations.
